The Journées d'Informatique Musicales join together researchers in computer music, scientists from around the world and professionals of the musical stage who use the computer as a tool for musical expression and composition. The conference lasts three days and the committee strongly encourages young researchers to participate.

The conference takes place at the Maison des Sciences de l’Homme Paris Nord the 2nd, 3rd and 4th of June, 2005.
The conference is held by AFIM(Association Française d’Informatique Musicale), and supported by the DMDTS (Direction de la Musique, de la Danse,du Théâtre et des Spectacles – Ministère de la Culture et de la Communication).

JIM is hosted by the CICM (Centre de recherche en Informatique et Création Musicale)
